Let’s start this.

November 26, 2008

If there’s anyone reading this: Hey there! Thanks for reading!

This is YAOMTC. I’ve been wanting to get some work done on my site for a while, but I haven’t been able to access my web host, Free Hostia, from the campus where I normally live. So, I’m waiting until I have room in my budget for a Blue Host site. Until then, I’ll be posting little blips here about things I find on the Internet that I think you should see.

So, let’s begin.

First, a movie trailer for an upcoming stop-motion film, Coraline, based on a novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman, and written and directed by Henry Selick (who did Nightmare Before Christmas). It’s coming out in February. You should go see it when it does. I am.

Also there’s this… video that kind of involves Milwaukee. I can’t think of much to say about it, other than that you should definitely watch the whole thing (unless you’re not a fan of surreal humor).

Last but not least, there’s a TED talk. The video’s description serves best here:

For almost three decades, John Francis has been a planetwalker, traveling the globe by foot and sail with a message of environmental respect and responsibility (for 17 of those years without speaking). A funny, thoughtful talk with occasional banjo.

If you liked at least some of this stuff, please subscribe to the RSS feed for this blog and read my next entry, whenever that would be. I’d rather this little blog not go to waste.
